Cross-language care for a family visiting from Morocco
We got so lucky, because the language can be challenging even if you go on an app to translate.

What brought them to us
N. had lived for several years with digestive discomfort and disrupted sleep, alongside shoulder and neck pain. Her daughter, coordinating from Dubai, wanted her mother to be properly looked after during their trip to China — and was concerned that the language barrier would make that difficult to arrange from overseas.
What we arranged
We coordinated the entire visit with the family before they arrived. The appointment was a one-hour consultation with Dr. Henri, conducted in English, including pulse and tongue diagnosis, personalised acupuncture, and complementary manual care for her shoulder. The physician also went through a detailed dietary and sleep-posture protocol to take home, and discussed how any ongoing herbal support could reach her after the trip.
What happened
The family described the visit as seamless, and said their questions were answered thoroughly. N. was pleased enough that she joked she would take the doctor home with her if she could. The family has since planned follow-up wellness trips to Shanghai.
In their words
Everything was wonderful.
My mom says if she could, she would have taken you with her.
Thank you very much. We're very glad that we're going to come back.
